Another layer of purple Metalcast, and painted the underside. And on reviewing the wheels, it seems they have a suitable metallic finish for Metalcast...

Not just yet. Might need such a cushion for the back, as she’s very small yet, but there is at least a butt cushion in leatherette provided.
The original comet pedal cars that this copies had a suggested "convertible top" in white paint at the top edge, but I think a true roadster cushion edge is more fun. If possible.

Yes, it’s new. Available from Speedway Motors as a kit... if not as I’m setting it up, with lights and purple paint and a horn. Then again, I’m crazy.
It's a fairly direct if not perfect copy of a Murray Comet from the late 40s
